This dataset is used to identify areas where Sound Transit operates transit service and facilities.
<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Sound Transit's Transit Way is a legally defined area in city street right of way where Sound Transit is allowed to own physical improvements in street right of way. These improvements often include aerial guideway, at-grade light rail, light rail tunnels, or light rail utilities. In each city, the rights and obligations are captured in a "Transit Way Agreement" between ST and the city. (Note: some city's use a slightly different name for the document). The legal description for the Transit Way in each city is depicted and described on the final Record Drawings as transmitted to the city for each ST capital project. </SPAN></SPAN></P><P /><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Additionally, Sound Transit includes properties used for stations and other transit infrastructure in this dataset.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P /><P><SPAN /></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
