The purpose of this dataset is to identify the extent of the City of Redmond's water service area. The data provides basis for water system planning and water system maintenance.
The dataset represents the City of Redmond's water service area. Paper map markups from the Water/Wastewater Engineering group were used by the technician as a guide for selecting out parcel edges to digitize the boundary. At the time of development, the feature class waRetailServiceArea was coincident with Parcels. Mapping of the water retail service area feature class was initiated in 2008 by the Water/Wastewater Engineering division to support the Water Comp Plan.
